     MEETING NOTICE

 

WHEN:                       Sunday, April 1, 2012  (No Joke!)

TIME:                         12:00 noon

WHERE:                     Kate Sessions Park - Pacific Beach

 

IMPORTANT:  

We have two political guests coming to the meeting ...

.       Bob Filner - Running for Mayor of San Diego

.       Tony Atkins campaign manager (Gibran) - Running for Assembly Seat in
District 76

 

ABATE LOCAL 6 WILL HAVE A BOOTH AT THE WOLFPACK MC SWAPMEET AT THE FLINN
SPRINGS INN THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 31, 2012 STARTING AT 8:00 A.M.   COME ON
OUT TO VISIT OR HELP US IN THE BOOTH IF YOU'D LIKE.  

 

 

We hope you can make it to the meeting and meet our guests.  Plus there are
quite a few subjects we'll be covering:

 

*	General Business
*	Membership
*	Legislative and Judicial Updates
*	Runs and Events
*	Discussion List

.         ABATE Local 6 event

 

In case you can't make it to the meeting, here's a few things to know:

 

*	Membership.  

o   Membership Drive.   The drive started in January.  If you signed someone
up, please get the membership application to Doc or another officer.  Local
6 gets a little bit of the membership fee and every bit helps.

o   Membership Raffle.  Carol is sending down raffle tickets but we probably
won't have them in time for the meeting.  But we will have them in May.
We'll need to hustle a bit because the drawing is in July.  We definitely
will need help selling the tickets.

 

*	Runs and Events.  

o   Barry and Carole's Memorial Ride - Sunday, May 6.  Meeting at Mt.
Soledad at noon and party to follow at San Diego Harley.  This is still an
unsolved crime.   We are honoring their memory.

*	Regional Rally - don't forget it's May 11-13 at the Shady Oasis
Kampground in Victoria..  This is one of ABATE's largest moneymakers and a
fabulous party.

    

*	Fundraiser.  We need to put a few dollars in our coffers and are
thinking about doing a Local 6 fundraiser / membership drive.  If you have
any ideas, please contact one of the officers.  We really do like input on
these things.

 

.         Political.  Did you know it's an election year?  We have
candidates other than Bob Filner and Toni Atkins that can use some help.
Please come to the meeting to hear who they are and what you can do.  Can't
make the meeting, get in touch and we'll fill you in.
