     MEETING NOTICE

HAPPY LABOR DAY!

 

Snowman and I will both be out of town on Sunday, but Chop has volunteered
to handle the meeting.  Please come join him and hear and talk about what's
happening.  

 

For the meeting, here's our standard subjects that will be covered this

LANE SPLITTING LEGISLATION has been signed by the governor!  AB 51 is now a
law and the new guidelines will be determined by the CHP, DMV and a
representative from a motorcycle rights organization (to yet be determined).
Hopefully ABATE will be that representative.

 

AB-1932 - Obernolte - Alternative to Traffic School.  ABATE is requesting
that you send letters to the Governor in support of this bill.  Sample
letters are attached.

 

RUNS AND EVENTS.  Be sure to check the Bailing Wire for ABATE events.
Here's a few to put on your calendar:

*         ABATE Local 11 Meeting - September 11 (Patriot's Day) - Escondido
Moose Lodge, 25721 Jesmond Dene Road, Escondido - 11 a.m.  They have seats
and you can come early and have breakfast, too.

*         ABATE GOLDEN RENDEZVOUS (ABATE STATE RUN).  Official event on
September 9-11 has been cancelled for this year.  Due to the cost of putting
on the event, there will be an old fashioned "camp-out" on the same date at
Frandy Campground in Kernville.  Should still be a lot of fun.

 

Least you forget, the Final Option has a breakfast at Sweetwater Harley just
before our meeting this month.  Howie invites everyone down to have
breakfast first and then ride up to Kate Sessions for our meeting.
