NEWS AND DATES FOR MEMBERS AND ASSOCIATES
 
 SUNDAY  FEBRUARY  6   ABATE Local 6 Holds their regular monthly meeting in Kate Sessions Park in Pacific Beach, San Diego,   at NOON.  Do you know what’s new in the motorcycle world ?   C’mon down !
 
If it is seriously raining on the Sunday of the Local 6 regular meeting… and you are already out and about…. The meeting will be held AT 12 NOON at the Arizona Café ,   1925   Bacon St.  in Ocean Beach just this side of Newport Av.   They serve a good breakfast on weekends.

Sunday  FEBRUARY  13       ABATE Local 11 holds their monthly meeting at Connie’s Oakvale Lodge above Lake Wohlford  at 11 AM.
 
SUNDAY FEBRUARY 27  ABATE LOCAL 1 Polar Bear Poker Run,  Sun Valley, CA
 
SATURDAY  MARCH 5   Mardi Gras Party at Sweetwater Harley, National City. 
 
SATURDAY  MARCH 12  SAINT PATRICKS DAY PARADE & IRISH FESTIVAL 10 AM – 6PM . Balboa Park at 6th & Laurel.
 
SUNDAY  MARCH 13   The Shamrock Poker Run.  9-10 AM at Sweetwater Harley Davidson, National City.
 
SUNDAY  MARCH 20  MOTORCYCLE SWAP MEET Sweetwater Harley,  National City. 
 
MARCH 25, 26, 27  Gold Wing Road Riders “Rally in the Valley”   Edgewater Inn,   Laughlin, Nevada. 
SATURDAY AFTERNOON,  APRIL  9  ABATE LOCAL 6 SPAGHETTI DINNER Will be held at American Legion Post 460, 7815 Armour St, Kearny Mesa, San Diego.  SERVING FROM 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (or until we run out of food)  Stop in after your Saturday ride….or take your Family out to dinner.   Sauce is home-made by a Famous Italian Cook.  Everyone is welcome here……C’mon Down !

MAY 6, 7, 8 _______ 17TH ANNUAL REGIONAL RALLY

MONDAY  MAY 23  FREEDOM & MOTORCYCLE AWARENESS RALLY.STATE CAPITOL       South Capitol Steps 
11 am to  1:00 PM.    Visit your legislators. 
 
 

“Ask not what your Local can do for you…..Ask what you can do for your Local”.   The year is almost over, and it is time for members to  think about taking responsibility running for a spot as a Local 6 Officer or as a volunteer administrator in one of the spots.  We are taking nominations  for President,  Vice President,  Secretary ,  Treasurer., and Membership Coordinator .    The elections will be at the February 6th  meeting.  Do you have any other talents ?  We have a spot for you !  The Members make the Locals work, and the Locals make ABATE of California work.
 
 
Have you checked out the American Legion Riders club in your area ?  Check with your local American Legion Post.
