Thank you for sharing the Channel 8 news report with me.
 
As I have often said…, there are at least three sides to every story – yours, mine, and the truth.  Yes, I was interviewed by Channel 8 along with channel 13.  If you review the report that ran on channel 13 (http://www.ktnv.com/news/local/130758608.html) I believe that you will see that it was less edited than the report that ran on Channel 8.
 
With regard to NRS 486.231 and Nevada’s helmet law, I believe that wearing helmets is a choice that adults can make for themselves.  Although I may disagree with some of the tactics that were taken during the past session of the Nevada Legislature, not once did I testify against SB 177 and my letters to members of the Legislature were always in support of the bill.  The current lawsuit, hopefully will address the arbitrary enforcement issues in NRS 486.231, and once settled, force the Legislature to remove it from the books. 
 
My committed to freedom of choice came long before I got involved in the politics of motorcycling.  My commitment to motorcyclists’ rights is a matter of public record and it does not change because of an edited interview on the 5 o’clock news.  I suggest that you review the KTNV Channel 13 interview that I’ve attached.

btw, the person they interviewed is Fred Harrell, he works for HD LV and he sits on the Nevada State Board of Advisors to the Governor for Motorcycle Safety.  

No wonder he fought me and David to undermine what we were doing to get SB177 passed.  How could I have been so stupid.  It's now clear to me that he doesn't care about rights - he just wants to sell helmets!

I made sure to make a comment about him in my post.
